Dental Implants in Cincinnati OH

Celebrating over 90 Years of Creating lifelong relationships with our patients and their families.

Dental implants can be an ideal solution to replacing damaged or missing teeth. They can restore not only the functionality of teeth but can provide a great new look as well. Dr. Peck and his team of specialists work together to determine the best options for restoring proper function with the ultimate in esthetics.

The Process of Installing Implants

If you have missing teeth, Dr. Fred H. Peck will examine your mouth and jaw structure to determine if the procedure is right for you. Your gums need to be healthy, and your jawbone needs to be strong. If there are cavities or signs of gum disease, Dr. Peck will determine the best course of treatment prior to the dental implant procedure.

The next step is to implant the artificial root replacement (the implant fixture). The implant integrates into the jawbone in order to create a durable, synthetic root system that is similar to the strength of natural roots. Over a couple of months, the implant fixture and jawbone will fuse together.

Proper planning is essential for the success of your implant long term. Dr. Peck ensures your bite is correct, the gums are healthy, and the esthetics are planned in advance. Dr. Peck also has the latest technology in Guided Biofilm Therapy to clean and maintain the implants to ensure long term success. Afterward, the new synthetic tooth will be secured to the implant at the surface of the gums. The new tooth is attached so securely that our patients can eat their favorite foods, maintain an active lifestyle, play sports, and more, without fear of their tooth becoming loose or falling out.

Caring for Dental Implants

We advise patients to brush and floss their teeth throughout the day like normal. Additionally, it is important to schedule professional dental exams and cleanings with Dr. Peck at least twice a year. If in the future, you suffer from a severe case of gum disease or a dental abscess, the infection can spread into your jawbone. This puts your implants in jeopardy because, in order to stay secure, the jawbone must be in good health. If it becomes infected, your dental implants and all of your teeth may be affected. Prevention is essential. We recommend dental implants due to their high success rate. Dr. Peck often recommends dental implants because the success rate can be as high as 99 percent. Our ultimate goal is to have the implant look undetectable and look like nature intended.

Dr. Peck knows his stuff and is as good as it gets. He has the latest and greatest dentistry tech, and everyone is always extremely courteous. They are always excellent.
